Launching on pump.fun

Your coin is created on pump.fun from your own wallet. One Ticker prepares the launch, checks it on-chain and records which coin is the official one for your ticker.

Launching isn't available here yet. It only works on Solana mainnet. Here you can go through every step up to the review screen, but nothing is signed or sent.

Launch a ticker you own, or a free one

  • A ticker you own: no launch fee. Right before you sign, our server checks on-chain that your wallet still holds the ticker NFT. The NFT is burned in the same transaction that creates your coin, and the ticker stays with your coin for good. Nobody else can launch it while you hold it.
  • A free ticker, right away ("Launch now"): 0.01 SOL launch fee. Until your coin is live, someone else could still buy or launch the same ticker on One Ticker first.

The steps

  1. Coin details: name (up to 32 characters), image (PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, max 4 MB), optional description (up to 280 characters) and links (X, Telegram, website). The ticker is locked to the one you picked. Our server uploads the image and details to IPFS.
  2. Dev buy (optional, 0 to 10 SOL): buy some of your own coin at launch, or skip it. Your dev buy is public, so buyers can see how much the dev holds.
  3. Review and launch: see every cost and the rewards split, check one box and approve once in your wallet.

What you sign

One wallet approval covers two transactions:

  1. The launch: pump.fun creates your coin (with your dev buy, if any). The One Ticker launch fee is a transfer inside the same transaction, so if the launch fails, you don't pay it. Your coin's mint keypair is generated in your browser, signs this transaction too and never leaves your browser.
  2. The 90/10 rewards split, sent right after: it sets pump.fun's rewards sharing for your coin to 90% for you and 10% for One Ticker. This split is required for your coin to be official. See below and Fees.

One Ticker never takes custody of your keys and never signs for you. Our server builds the launch transaction with pump.fun's official SDK, with no middleman and no extra fee on your dev buy. Your wallet pays, your name, ticker and image are used, your wallet is the creator, and only pump.fun's programs are called. Your wallet shows all of it before you sign.

How the official coin is decided

  • Once your transaction is confirmed, our server reads it from the blockchain and checks it: it succeeded, your wallet paid and is the creator, the mint matches, the ticker is exactly yours, and the launch fee is there for a direct launch. Only then is the ticker marked as launched.
  • The first launch confirmed on-chain wins. If two wallets launch the same free ticker at the same time, the one confirmed first on Solana (earlier slot) is official. The other coin still exists on pump.fun, but One Ticker ignores it and says so.
  • You can't launch a ticker someone else owns on One Ticker. Buy it first if it's listed.
  • The 90/10 rewards split is required. Until it's set, the ticker shows "Launched, 90/10 split pending" and the dev sees a "Finish setup" button. If it isn't set within 60 minutes, or is set differently, the coin loses its official status and the ticker is free again. The launch stays in the ticker's history as "not official (90/10 split never finished)". Finishing late still works as long as nobody else has taken the ticker.

If something goes wrong

  • You cancel in your wallet: you pay nothing.
  • The transaction expires or fails (for example, the price moved past your slippage): you pay nothing. Try again.
  • The 90/10 split transaction fails: your coin is live and shows "90/10 split pending". Finish it from your coin's page with "Finish setup" within 60 minutes to keep it official.

What stays the same on pump.fun

Your coin is a normal pump.fun coin. Same bonding curve, and you can trade it on pump.fun and on any terminal or aggregator that supports pump.fun coins. One Ticker adds a registry on top. It doesn't stop anyone from launching the same ticker directly on pump.fun.
